Youth in Greece balance personal optimism with deep national pessimism: while many feel reasonably satisfied with their own lives and hopeful about their futures, they are far less confident about where the country is heading. Strong family ties coexist with a frustrated desire for independence, as economic constraints delay adulthood and financial autonomy. Although generally supportive of democracy and progressive values, young Greeks feel poorly represented in politics, show limited political engagement, and express firm anti-immigration attitudes alongside a strong Greek identity within the EU.
