Are young women becoming more progressive while young men turn conservative?

The EqualiZe study challenges this narrative. Combining European Social Survey (ESS) data with focus groups in Germany, Greece, Poland, Spain and Sweden, its findings point to a shared generational experience of insecurity that gets interpreted differently by young women and men. Moreover, there is broad agreement on the importance of gender equality.
